Answering Muslims: U.S. Trained Tajikistan Special Forces Colonel Gulmurod Khalimov Joins ISIS

Colonel Gulmurod Khalimov was trained by Russian and U.S. special forces. He's now using what he learned to train jihadists. Meanwhile, as young, educated Muslims from prosperous families flock to Iraq and Syria to fight the infidels, Western leaders continue to assure us that jihad is the result of joblessness. Colonel Gulmurod Khalimov Jerusalem Post—The US-trained commander of Tajikistan's elite police force has defected to Islamic State, he said in a YouTube video, and his former unit will issue a statement condemning him, media said on Thursday. Colonel Gulmurod Khalimov commanded the Central Asian nation's special-purpose police known as OMON, used against criminals and militants. He disappeared in late April, prompting a search by Tajik police. He reappeared Wednesday, vowing to bring jihad to Russia and the Unites States as he brandished a cartridge belt and sniper rifle, in a professionally made, 10-minute video clip posted in social networks. "Listen, you dogs, the president and ministers, if only you knew how many boys, our brothers are here, waiting and yearning to return to Tajikistan to re-establish sharia law there," he said, addressing Tajik President Imomali Rakhmon. Rakhmon has run Tajikistan, the poorest post-Soviet nation that neighbours Afghanistan, since 1992. He used Russian support to crush Islamist guerrillas in a 1992-1997 civil war and tolerates little dissent in his country of 8 million. "We are coming to you, God willing, we are coming to you with slaughter," said Khalimov, a 40-year-old native of the Tajik capital Dushanbe. He spoke in Russian, sitting in front of a palm tree, and sported a new beard. It was not clear which country he was in. Tajik police could not be reached for comment. OMON police plan to issue a statement condemning Khalimov, several officers who had served with him told the Tajik service of US-funded Radio Liberty. Khalimov said he had been trained by elite Russian "spetsnaz" forces in Moscow and US special forces in America. "Listen, you American pigs, I've been three times to America, and I saw how you train fighters to kill Muslims," he said, patting his rifle. "God willing, I will come with this weapon to your cities, your homes, and we will kill you." (Continue Reading.) To understand why a trained military leader like Colonel Gulmurod Khalimov would join the jihad, watch this:

Baltimore Is a Democrat Problem, Not America's Problem - Breitbart

Contrary to the emotional blackmail some leftists are attempting to peddle , Baltimore is not America’s problem or shame. That failed city is solely and completely a Democrat problem. Like many failed cities, Detroit comes to mind, and every city besieged recently by rioting, Democrats and their union pals have had carte blanche to inflict their ideas and policies on Baltimore since 1967, the last time there was a Republican Mayor .

We Are All the Duggars | LIBERATE

Leo Tolstoy famously wrote, “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.” The problem is that I’ve yet to meet a family that fits into Tolstoy’s tidy categories of “happy” and “unhappy.” The reality is far messier. Put tears and laughter, love and betrayal, fights and hugs into a blender and out will come a family. Even in homes where the walls are decorated with portraits of grinning moms and dads and kids, there’s usually a closet door that’s kept shut. Last week we were reminded of that, when the media flung open that door in the Duggar family home. And the skeletons came spilling out.

Anxiety Is a Spiritual Issue

I agree with Daniel Randell . For one there is no test at all that can test for anxiety / panic. Mental illness. No blood test no brain test. No urine test. Therefore I believe it is a soul problem .as a person that struggled for over 2 years with it went to tons of doctors and every test came back normal. I sought the lord cried out to him and he has been healing me from it. It is a fear thing. Now certain things like iron being super low , hormones , and tyroid may cause sone of but if you allow the lord to help you instead reaching for a bottle of xanax he will meet you .get people to support and get in the word .

You Need to Know What Really Happened in Ireland

"This news is devastating to the nearly 37.9 percent of us who voted NO, many of us born-again Christians. We tried so hard to prevent it, but were up against every political party and up against millions of U.S. dollars that were being poured into the yes campaign. American billionaire Chuck Feeney alone contributed over $24 million. Every 'civil rights' group on the block was behind the yes vote. When NO vote campaign signs were posted in Dublin and other places, they were vandalised. Public media (are) supposed to allow 50:50 coverage for each side of a constitutional issue. This was blatantly ignored. The public police force was drafted in to support the YES vote and to register college students to vote, and they passed out YES badges to each student as they did so. And these things are only part of the story. The pressure was incessant and unbelievable. Even the ballot paper was biased. We argued that the term 'marriage equality' was biased, but yet that term made it on to the ballot paper.

How to Disciple with a Book

Some years ago, I had the pleasure of leading three teenage boys through R.C. Sproul’s book  Now That’s a Good Question . Each week we read a section, and the four of us came together to talk and pray about the content. The boys came from different backgrounds. One grew up in a legalistic home, one in a culturally Roman Catholic home, and the third in an unchurched home. As we sat in a circle each week, the boys would challenge the content of the book, which seemed like wildly original theology to each of them. The discussion topics were intimate, the shouting was loud, and the tears were real. Two of them gave up the study, citing heresy, only to return weeks later. By the time we finished the book, the boys collectively asked if I had another book we could study together. I continued to disciple the boys for years. After one of them shared the “new doctrines of grace” with his pastor, I was invited to preach on this topic in his Pentecostal church.

Even So Come (Live) by Passion

If you want to experience a spine tingling worship experience then you can't go wrong with the biggest names in the business. Tomlin, Stanfill, Crowder, Nockels, Redman, Younker and new worship leader Melodie Malone are all in top form on this excellent album, among the best in this great series. There are several instantly sing-able and worshipful arrangements that you'll want to add to your Sunday morning set-list. These passionate worship songs are sung with vocal sincerity and reverence with biblically based lyrics. I especially recommend, "The Awesome God You Are," "My Anchor,” "Wonder," “You Found Me,” “The Cross of Christ,” and my worship song of the year, "Even So Come." All of the songs are catchy, exciting and worshipful. Passion: Even So Come is a must-have for your praise and worship collection. More importantly this is an album about submitting to the Lordship of Jesus and declaring the confession of Isaiah 26:8: "Yes Lord, walking in the way of Your truth we wait eagerly for You, for Your name and renown are the desire of our souls.

The man who feeds the developing world’s children from a garden shed

That first trip was followed by many more, and on one of them he gave a lift to a young nurse named Julie, who wanted to volunteer. A few years later they married and the couple now have seven children. Their family home is a few metres from the corrugated-iron shed that became MacFarlane-Barrow’s charity HQ. The shed had been his and his siblings’ playroom when he was a boy, and when he needed somewhere from which to administer his Bosnian trips, it seemed a perfect makeshift office. The charity – then called Scottish International Relief – garnered a huge amount of public support, and towards the end of the 1990s MacFarlane-Barrow travelled to Liberia , and then Malawi, with a view to extending the charity’s reach to needy parts of Africa.

3 Better Ways to Help the Poor

To witness what you’ve thought of as poverty your whole life is astounding. You will see things you can hardly understand. For example, you will see families of eight living in huts that seem too small for one. You will witness colleagues and friends getting malaria regularly but regarding the disease as similar to that of the common cold. You will wonder how people can find any reason to enjoy life, but you will notice how much they revel at being together, sharing meals, celebrating, singing and dancing, encouraging one another, working and creating solutions to problems, and praising God in the midst of incredible suffering.

Friendship with Jesus and the Aim of Education in Serious Joy

Second, verse 14, “You are my friends if you do what I command you.” In other words, when I say that I lay down my life for my friends , you can know that my death counts for you, if it moves you to become obedient to me. Think carefully with me: He has just said, “I lay down my life for my friends.” Now he says, “You are my friends, if you do what I command.” That’s a big “if.” Eternity hangs in the balance. And I take it to mean: you can know you are my friend and my death counts for you, if my love for you and my death for you has changed you to love each other as I loved you. If you love each other as I loved you, you are showing the effect my death has had on you, and proving to be my friends.

Vivent les differences!

It is not surprising that Mills’s perfectly mundane observation—that on key issues we conservative Protestants have more in common with liberal Catholics—has caused some consternation. He has exposed the confessional, theological weakness in so much conservative Christian discussion. In doing so, he has reminded us all that important differences between Catholics and Protestants do exist. Only those who lack conviction in their own confession should be disturbed by the facts of the case.

Lethal wounds on skull may indicate 430,000 year-old murder

Relying on modern forensic techniques, such as contour and trajectory analysis of the traumas, the authors of the study showed that both fractures were likely produced by two separate impacts by the same object, with slightly different trajectories around the time of the individual's death. According to the authors, the injuries are unlikely to be the result of an accidental fall down the vertical shaft. Rather, the type of fracture, their location and that they appear to have been produced by two blows with the same object lead the authors to interpret them as the result of an act of lethal interpersonal aggression -- or what may constitute the earliest case of murder in human history.

Is Allah the Worst Communicator Ever? (David Wood)

http://www.answeringmuslims.com In the Qur'an, Allah claims to be perfectly clear in his commands (see 6:114; 11:1; 12:1; 15:1; 16:89; 22:72; 24:1, 34, 46; 26:2; 27:1; 28:2; 36:69; 41:3; 57:9; 65:11; etc.). Yet when critics quote the Qur'an, many Muslims insist that Allah means something very different from what he says. This should cause us to wonder: Is Allah's speech clear, or is it horribly unclear? Could Allah be the the worst communicator ever? In this video, David Wood discusses the problem.

How to Tell When Wanderlust Turns Unhealthy

As someone who's done their fair share of traveling, I have to say I agree with the majority of this article. There is a strange amount of pressure to do something new and reinvent yourself every couple of years. It was only recently, that I started being criticized for living abroad in so many different places. I was truly taken by surprise that my being in missions had offended anyone or was seen as some sort of defect. For me, I know I was called to go to those places and I wouldn't trade the experiences for anything. As you pointed out, it's all about your reasons for going. I've met many people that absolutely should immediately settle into a career or life in America, but I've also met quite a few who choose to do so out of fear. I've met very few people who've chosen a missionary life (which is, granted, different from traveling for the heck of it) who were doing so entirely for their own glory. Honestly, I believe the world is changing. We are less of a missionary sending nation than we once were. That doesn't mean none are called. It does take great faith to battle it out on the home front just as it takes great faith to serve abroad.

You Can Believe the Promises of God and Be Lost

Another way to say it would be that in all the acts of saving faith the Holy Spirit enables us not only to perceive and affirm factual truth, but also to apprehend and embrace spiritual beauty. It is the “embracing of spiritual beauty” that is the essential core of saving faith. And this embrace is what will shape our lives most deeply and receive the “well done” at the Last Day.

Kept Safe Through Death

Follow the thread, Kathy, follow the thought. While God may not protect you from every bad thing that might, has, or could happen to you, ultimately, through resurrection, you are safe. I will walk through death and come out on the other side fully healed, restored, saved, and protected. God does not protect us from things that harm us, he protects us as we go through them, to the other side of the resurrection, where our real hopes and happiness lie. Now there’s a thought I can cling to.

Renewing Your Mind | Laying the Foundation | May 28, 2015

Though Pelagianism was rejected by the church, efforts soon emerged to soften the doctrines of Augustine. In the fifth century the leading exponent of such a softening was John Cassian. Cassian, who was the abbot of a monastery in Gaul, together with his fellow monks, completely agreed with the condemnation of Pelagius by the synod in 418, but they objected equally to the strong view of predestination set forth by Augustine. Cassian believed that Augustine had gone too far in his reaction against the heresy of Pelagius and had departed from the teachings of some of the church fathers, especially Tertullian, Ambrose, and Jerome. Cassian said that Augustine’s teaching on predestination “cripples the force of preaching, reproof, and moral energy…plunges men into despair and introduces a certain fatal necessity.” This reaction against the implied fatalism of predestination led Cassian to articulate a position that has since become known popularly as “semi-Pelagianism.” Semi-Pelagianism, as the name implies, suggests a middle ground between Pelagius and Augustine.

10 Lies Men Believe about Porn - XXXchurch.com

The big challenge is how secretive and vague we tend to be. One Christian home group leader routinely gave his wife a date-rape drug which she willingly took in the name of “good sex” and it wasn’t until she asked a friend if she knew about this drug that the issue came to light. The wife submitted to her husband in these things since she had no other frame of reference, but it seemed to her that if this drug thing was normal, why was the drug so hard to get? Of course, it was illegal and potentially lethal. At any given dose, someone who had been fine before could suddenly die from it.
